Christmas in July

We'd love for you to join us for some unseasonal festive fun in order to raise awareness about our cause, as well as giving our 2026 fundraising a boost before Christmas comes around.

Christmas in July helps to ensure that in 2026 we can keep festive magic happening in mental health units for children and young people across the UK. We've been told that Christmas is an impossibly difficult time of year to be in hospital but, with your help, we can make it a little bit more sparkly so young people on CAMHS wards and units don't feel forgotten. It is so important to spread some joy and let vulnerable young people know that they matter.

Where did Christmas in July start? Well, according to Hallmark, in the 1930s, a summer camp in North Carolina started the celebration and it just caught on! Nowadays it is celebrated particularly in Australia (where the 25th December lands in summer) but also by bloggers worldwide and by companies who want to secure some festive PR or sell their products in the shops at Christmas.

We need your help!

We would love for you to celebrate Christmas in July with us in 2026. Here’s how you can join in:
